tapeshelf Video Downloader: a free extension that saves video from any site
A browser extension that downloads videos from any site as one MP4 with sound: streams, 4K, MP3, subtitles and live streams, free and without limits. For Chrome, Edge, Firefox and others.
A video editor in Pro: crop, cut, blur, timers and captions
A vertical video from a wide one, cuts, a blurred licence plate, timers and captions, right on your shelf with nothing to install. Every tool can be tried on this page.
What's in Pro, and why we charge for it
Free and Pro on tapeshelf.com side by side: storage, downloads, the trash, the video editor, a hidden page, passwords on temporary links, the price and cancelling.
Running your own tapeshelf
What self-hosting tapeshelf will look like: one Docker Compose stack, no plans or payments, no limits unless you set them, and the same app as tapeshelf.com.
Trading videos one to one: requests, offers and counter-offers
How a request turns into a trade on tapeshelf: asking, what the owner can answer, rounds, the pause after a no, trading with people who have no account, and what you keep.
How tapeshelf encrypts video, and why it stores no keys
Encrypted HLS segments, a key that's derived on request and never stored, short-lived links, and what all this can't stop.
