About tapeshelf

tapeshelf started from a small annoyance: there was no good way to show a video to a few people. Big platforms want an audience and a feed. “Unlisted” links travel further than you meant them to, and file lockers treat a video like any other file.

So tapeshelf works the other way round. Your videos sit on a shelf that is yours, and nothing is recommended to anyone. A video reaches someone because you shared it, sent them a link or traded it for one of theirs, the way friends used to swap tapes.

It's an independent project with no investors and no ads, which is why it can stay simple. Pro is there for people who need more room or a few extra tools; the free plan stays free.
